I thought I'd start a PGCE thread... I'm starting in and maybe if there are a few of us, we could set up a little 'support group' if we want to.
I'm getting quite excited about it, I know Ive got ages to wait but I got my info pack through from the Uni and as well as making me feel nervous, I am raring to go!
has anyone else found all the loan forms confusing? Am new to this a a mature student...
I'll be training to teach Primary. How about you?

I have a friend doing a PGCE, she'll be teaching secondary languages. She's not enjoying it at all and I don't really know what to advise her to do. I think she went into it as a graduate as she couldn't really think of anything else to do and it seems to me that quiet a lot of people do the same, it seems to have become a bit of a fall-back option which is a shame. But then I suppose it gets people into teaching thanks to the financial incentives. I'm sure that's not why you're doing it, you seem to be really enthusiastic, but have you met anyone similar and what do you think? happy friday!
