Slc admin

I think the Student Loans Company admin is an absolute disgrace.
They haven't sent out a statement for ages and rarely seem to have any clue how to answer my queries when I phone up.
The interst we pay is far more than inflatin but that's not really the admin department's fault, it's a whole other rant!
has anyone else had the same or is it just me??

From my experience, they're pretty useless. "The left hand doesn't know what the right hand's doing" is a phrase that springs to mind...

Haven't received statement from slc for years!

I've moved address several times since leaving uni, and am now living outside of the UK. I sent a letter to the SLC every time giving them my new address but I've not heard anything from them, no statements, nothing. Consequently, I'm not paying back any of my loan, I assume they're trying to "track me down". I'm in two minds about whether to get in touch again or not...

They are apalling, I had the same thing with my statement, daisy. I phoned up for a balance and it took her ages to find the right one.
The interest is more than we at first thought as well, but I suppose we didn't really have any choice.
A whole generation of us are going to be saddled with this for the rest of our lives. What a depressing thought...

I had a statement with last years dates on and had to phone up for a balance, and the girl didn't have any idea what my real balance was. Eventually got ot the bottom of it though, but they don't make it easy for you.
