i think once you've started looking you'll have to check with each particular landlord, you can't just generalise and say 'no british lanlords will le tyou have cats' that's just ridiculous!
By colocation do you mean flat-sharing? It is very unlikely that you'll be allowed pets in a flat-share, i think it's the same in france. I think you'll find it easier to rent in the UK though, you don't usually have to have someone to act as a guarantor for you and hand in copies of every single document you possess like you do in France, you just pay the deposit and move in. If you don't pay the rent, they get to keep the deposit, simple.

Hi there!!
So I have some question about renting a flat in England : my conjoint and me are going to come in England (certainly west midlands) in the first or second next years to become teachers (i'm french and he's got the double nationality).
The first year we will not have a lot of monez because we are going to pass the diploma to become teachers so we could rent a flat for a maximum of 450 £ for both of us.
The fact is that we also have two cats and it is absolutely out of the question to let them here, in our parent's or something like that...
I heard that in England flats owners can refuse pets, especially for flats at that price wich are mainly colocation.
So could you confirm me that and tell me if it is very difficult to find a flat or a studio where pets are allowed...
Thank you so much for you're future help!
Sarah.

... it seams for simple to rent a flat in England than in France!!! here it's year after year more and more difficult!!! But I didn't wanted to generalise about landlords and pets, just wanted to know what is generally happening with that kind of problem...
Thank you anyway!!!
