Madonna and kabbalah

Madonna and her husband Guy Ritchie are deeply involved in the mystical Jewish practice of Kabbalah.

Because Madonna is such a trend-setter, it is expected that Kabbalah items such as the book of zohar and the Kabbalah Genesis Amulet (www.genesisamulet.com) will pick up in popularity very quickly.

Speaking off the record, a leading designer commented that he is already planning a season based on Kabbalah motifs.

That should probably be enough to cause quite a stir in Kabbalah circles. What next: a Genesis Amulet embedded in a Gautier frock?

In the meantime it would appear Madonna and the likes of Britney are unrepented. Were they ever?

Hate these fads

I can see that anything celebrities do will have an impact in the world of fashion and media etc, but I really hate all these faddy religions and cults. Scientology really does my head in - Tom Cruise just seems really odd. I saw a program about how Scientologists had gone into the tsunami zones and were trying to 'heal' the sick and convert people and I thought heir actions were really tactless and tasteless.
Each to their own really, but I don't think beliefs about anything should be forced on others.
Sorry, rant over!!

You took the words right out of my mouth!

I was thinking of the same thing. I am not usually such a judgmental person, I believe to each his own too, (usually), but Tom Cruise is really getting on my nerves. He is making an idiot of himself all over American TV. He got into an argument with an interviewer here about Scientology, and he was quite rude and degrading to the person. He thinks that he knows everything about every medicine because he reads a medical magazine every night. Well, gee! Then I guess Doctors don't need to go to medical school and pharmacists don't need training, they should get everything they need to know from a magazine! LOL. What an idiot! I was a big fan of his until he started opening his mouth and the real person is coming through. The Scientology that the rich movie stars know and the Scientology that average people know, is completely different. My friend gave them $10,000 to join and changed her mind. She almost had to get a lawyer to get it back. Also, my friend's cousin was held prisoner by them in the bottom of a ship. Anyway, I obviously have really strong feelings about this, and now I will also stop ranting! LOL.

I heard about that interview!

he's awful!
Anything which asks for that amount of mney to join can only be dodgy!
His comments about brooke Sheilds made my blood boil, what on earth can he know as a man who has never fathered his own children (and is rumoured to be gay anyway) about post partum depression?!

Lol

You know, I was thinking that the way he was on Oprah (I don't know if you get the Oprah Winfrey show there?)...jumping on her couch, making all of those wierd gestures, that he actually was acting a little flambouyant. In the past when I heard that he was gay, I couldn't see it, but after that, I thought, yep. I can see that now! Yeah,I was quite offended by what he said about Brooke Shields, what the &%@#$ does he know about it anyway? & who is he to talk about her?
