Live 8 tickets on ebay

I was disgusted to find that some people who have won tickets have put them up for sale on Ebay!
I think Ebay has intervened now, after Bob Geldof made them take them down (go Bob!) but some of them must surely have been sold.
I am appalled to be honest.

Why all this hysteria?

People will always sell what is theirs, unfortunately. I am more bored with Geldof. Has he got nothing else to do? It is quite clear nothing else will get his so much attention. There are others who do just as much or more who get no recognition.

I am amazed by your callous attitude, he is not doing this for his own profile, more using his fame to help a cause. What on earth is wrong with that?

There will always be people who work tirelessly for certain causes for little recognition, but that doesn't detract from the work they do. Neither should Geldof's profile detract from the work he does.

Relax

Geldof has been well rewarded, fame and a knighthood and sitting with every President, Prime Minister and anyone else he can find. There are others who do as much and more, getting killed for instance, who got nothng except leaving his wife a widow or vice versa. The charity worker who was shot in Palestine by an Israeli soldier is an example and the American woman charity worker who was bulldozed literally to her death.
They never got any recognition, reward, no knighthoods, no children, no husband or wife. Just finito and forgotten. The man's mother is trying to get some justice in Israel, but the soldier was questioned and let off.
Who has done more and who has got less? The charity worker or Geldof?

yes, but just becasue they have no recognititon, shouldn't mean you automatically assume they have done more for their cause, that's just siding with the underdog for the sake of it.
I think anyone who helps these causes should be applauded, which is what you're saying, but just because Geldof is famous, doesn't mean that what he does is any less important.

I agree, I was amazed that people could do such a thing. I'm glad they've decided to taken them down now, can't believe that Ebay didn't want to at first!
