You are in love!
You are in love, aren't you? and isn't that wonderful? Ask him about Christmas - he did say you could stay there. Are you afraid he may not feel the same way? He is a little older than you, but hey, guys are never as mature as girls anyway. He sounds like a real gentleman - he has never taken advantage of you, and seems to have some kind of feeling for you. Whether it works out long term or not, is in the lap of the Gods. So, do you arrange to go at Christmas and find out? Or do you stay home, and regret not taking a risk? He may need more time, before he decides whether a long distance relationship will work, or not. He's probably worrying about the same things as you. I don't know what American guys are like, because I am British - what is important, is what is HE like?
You must protect yourself a bit, though. For all we know, he may have lots of girlfriends, and be a charmer, so, if you are thinking of sleeping with him, there is always the risk that he may sleep with you, and then leave you - this could happen with any guy, and is, unfortunately, a risk we all take at some point in our adult lives Finally, no one knows how to act or think when they are in love! Nothing makes sense, we don't sleep, can't stop thinking about the other one, can't eat. See what he says about Christmas. If he says 'yes', then go - but don't be too anxious to sleep with him, make him wait. Guys love a little mystique, the thrill of the chase. Good luck!
