A confession and an advice request

Hi. I suppose I'll start with my confession. I'm still a virgin and to be honest it's not by choice. It didn't used to bug me but now i'm starting to feel ugly/overweight etc. The horrible thing is I know i'm non of these but I see my friends all finding boyfriends and I wonder why I haven't found anyone. I haven't even had a proper boyfriend at 22. I know it's not the end of the world but I feel ready for a relationship.

What can I do to find someone nice?! Should I try online dating?

Uhh I felt just the way you did and I chose to stay a virgin until I met my fiance at 20, I mean all my little cousins were doing it before me but you know what I'm glad I waited to have sex with the guy I am going to marry and to be honest you have a better chance of not regretting your first time or just giving it up to some idiot when you wait. 22 is a great age to find yourself and think about what you really want out of a guy that way when you do find that special someone (and you will) they will value you for being pure and if he's really good he will be honored to be your first and not rush you. I recently fell out of the category of virgin (like only months ago) but I'm glad I was 20 instead of 15 or 17 when it happened. Trust me when you do find that person and have a healthy good relationship and sex happens you will being patting yourself on the back that you waited until you were more mature and equipped to handle sex. Don't rush love that's how all the mistakes that you'll end up regretting will happen. Just be happy to be outside of the statistics most girls lose it at 15 we're not those girls and it pays off trust me.

Online dating makes sense

It does make a lot of sense to date online - you can specify what you are looking for in a guy, and have fun. Make sure you read all the safety tips,as there are a few nasties out there, as I am sure you know.
I was dating on the Internet for a year, before I met 'the one'- and I am old enough to be your Mother!You being a lot younger, you should concentrate on having fun, and going on lots of dates,for a while.
Don't do anything unless he has condoms- losing your virginity is an important rite of passage, so you are right to look for a nice guy.Make sure you are relaxed and comfortable for your first time, have a little drink, but don't get plastered or that will ruin everything!
You could try speed - dating, too. Because you only have a minute or two talking to each guy, it kind of takes away the pressure of spending a whole evening getting to know him, and if you don't like - you don't have to go there again!
