Its cleaning!!!

Me and my boyfriend have been living together for about 10 months now and we are fighting over the stupidist thing - cleaning. We both are out of the house for 40 hours a week and yet i find myself doing everything house work wise. I do all the cooking, cleaning, wash all the clothes ect. I have repeatedly sat down and spoken to him about it i have even screamed at him about it all and he just seems toforget it the next morning. A month ago i even had to ask him to surprise me with something - wether it be flowers or candle lit pizza (he says he can't cook) yet still no avail. All i want is for him to put a little effort in the relationship like i do. Am i really asking too much or is it him?

Find him man-jobs

I think he is suffering from man-itis. I bet his dad didn't do anything at home either and his mum brought him up the same way.Hows about agreeing to get some man-jobs done(by him)like painting, car maintenance, putting out the nasty man-sized heavy bins, cleaning the car, mowing the lawn, carrying the heavy stuff home.play the helpless girlie, and reward him with praise and more even if the result was not all that good. If he says he can't do it then say you'll get a MAN in to do them. The girlie jobs..hmmm I think halves is a good way to think..you wash I'll dry , Here's the hoover , I've done upstairs WOULD you do downstairs (not could or will..men hear that as a maybe)Men don't get hints, so say ..book us a meal,"arrange a weekend by the sea - I like bournemouth or blackpool" I'd like some new clothes ..Give me some money and I'll dress up in them for you...
Last resort...both pay for a housekeeper, half each!

He doesnt get it does he????

ok so asking nicely hasnt worked....he probably figured as long as he made the right noises you would go away happy and nothing need change....we all hate change-especially if we have to make an effort!! screaming didnt work either and probably didnt make you feel too good....soooo first establish that he does actually know how to do these things....sounds silly but there are people who reach legal age without ever finding out how to work a washing machine or even whats required to make a floor clean...and being a bloke hes not going to be happy admitting it!! so if /when he does know - a his and hers list(done together and agreed on-not a dictatorship!!!) and it needs to happen....if it doesnt-book a cleaner and just tell him that this is a new bill to share because you wont let this get in the way of your relationship....all sweetness and light....usually when it hits the pocket fellas start to realise...and they also then realise that the stuff you do has a value!! good luck!!! oh and the candle lit dinner...you may have to lead him by the hand-show him what to do-and make sure the night is really good (use your imagiation darls!!)and then he will want to do it again!!!
