What does"he's blowing the wind"mean???i'm italian!

well my boyfriend says it like ... it up against the wind' as in there is no point. but it does matter in what context he uses it

it means to pass wind,gas, to fart!!! you know to expel gas via the rectum!!! dont tknow if this is anything like what you may mean!!! good luck with it!
