An argument that we cannot solve so easily...

All right, in a couple of months my boyfriend and I are thinking of moving in together. But the problem is that he won't compromise on what we move into. We're only 19 years old and make between $9-$10 dollars an hour and he wants to buy a foreclosed home as our first place where as I believe we should start out with an apartment because its cheaper and we will be able to continue to save for our future. It's becoming a serious issue and I am afraid we won't be able to compromise. Any thoughts?

Argument to solve

If you buy your own home will you be able to keep up with the re payments for it,are your jobs secure ,what happens if you loose your job ?? how much do you both bring in ? will it cover all the costs to basically servive? It does work out cheaper to buy your own place then actually rent one, but work out how much it will cost you to live pay for the house and other charges like food , water, electric etc. what you are on is not that much of a wage.
you have to cut your cloth according to your pattern really. you both have to really think it through properly to find what is the best move.
