How to handle a situation

Hi Every one,

I am begining to have doubts as to whether I should have married my husband.

We both work fulltime, mine is office work and he is an engineer, most nights he is home first but he waits untill I get home for his tea, every night I ask him what he wants and I do it. Last night feb 14th i cooked a three course dinner.

Tonight I reheated some pasta for myself and as he was busy on the computer I sat and started to eat it. He came in and said where his tea was and that I was selfish for not asking him. He has stomed out the house.

I am only 33 years old and was brought up in a house that somtimes my mom would do my dads food and sometimes he did his own. I don't see why it allways falls down to me to do the cooking ect.

We had a big fall out last week end because I had booked the school at my stables to exercise my horse which I told him on saturday, on sunday he said that I hadn't told him and basiclly I was to ask permission if it was ok to book the school with him.

I sometimes feel that we have gone back about forty years and we are re living how his parents live as his mom waits on his dad hand and foot.

Please advise

How long have you been married? Your husband indeed sounds like he has ideas of marriage in his mind that are not from this century.

Since you also work fulltime, he should help you with the household chores. Do stick to your guns regarding this!

Have you considered marriage counseling?
I am afraid, if he does not change, this does not sound like it could remain a lasting relationship. At least I could not stay in such a situation.
