What is the best way to meet a potential boyfriend?

Hey all

I'm 21 years old and have always been so unlucky in love. I find it very difficult to meet a guy who is not looking for something that's just "casual" God, I'm beginning to HATE that word!

I've been burned so many times by guys telling me that I'm special and that they "see this going somewhere" just to be let down again once they get what they want. I mean, I didn't exactly fall out of the ugly tree and I have lots of friends so I know that it's not that I'm a horrible person!

Sorry about the vent but it's just so frustrating! What am I doing wrong?! Can any of you girls out there who have been lucky in love give me some advice on how you met your mr perfect? Or even any guys to give their opinion on it?

well, first nothing wrong with you
maybe you just "fall" too easily ? or get involved emotionally speaking too fast ? That may be your only "problem" if it was one...

i don't really believe in "luck" or "unluck", try to be more vigilant, don't "give yourself" too fast either, try to figure out well who they are, what they want. Not all guys are looking for something "casual" (well maybe around 20 though :S), some girls also do...:S

I don't know if there is a "universal recipe" for finding love, be yourself, be sociable, go out, and when you feel a special attraction with a guy, give it a try, but take your time

hi i just had to post this as i felt so sorry for you,ther are lots of dateing web sites you could try & pubs clubs,but do be carefull,ther is nothing wrong with you so dont think that a lot of people say that if you stop looking then someone turns up,try & think how lovely you are & when man see how happy you are with yourself they should come runing,good luck.

Match your interests...

Try places that match your interests, join new clubs etc.. or even a night class at college or something. That way you will meet like minded people who share similar interests to you.

Go along, give a warm welcoming smile to anyone there and at the very least you'll make a bunch of new friends, but one of these may include that special someone. Or be instrumental in you meeting someone.

Being friends with them first helps to wean out the ones only interested in one thing etc.. and who knows where the path will lead...

I did voluntary work and that introduced me to a vast new bunch of good friends, and two extra special ones - one at least i'm keeping my fingers crossed about lol!! but increased my confidence etc as well..
