Love or lust - how can you tell the difference??

Is there an easy way to tell the difference?

I'm seeing someone at the moment and its great we don't see alot of each other with work and friends but I think about him all the time and when were together its great.

I recently ended a relationship 2 months ago, it wasn't serious really but I rushed into in a week after ending my 3 year relationship with my fiance, anyway we said I love you too soon and I suddenly realised I didn't want him and wanted time on my own. I have a bad habit of rushing from one serious relationship to another in the past.

Anyway both me and this new guy didn't want to rush into something from fear of being hurt. So we're not officially together but we are sort of - both not seeing anyone else.We are trying to work out how we feel but I don't know if its love or just pure lust that I feel.

To be honest I think I've only ever been in love with one person from years ago and I think it felt like this but I've made mistakes with my feelings in the past and I don't want to do it again as he's an old friend and I do really like him.

I think that it's not easy to have a 'serious' relationship, it requires love and what does love mean? Respect, patience, sex, laugh,it's a mix of all this things
