Should i tell my mom the truth about her husband?

my older brother and i have a different dad than my two younger brothers. i'm starting college in a week and my older brother is leaving this week too. my stepdad and the father of my two younger brothers raped me when i was 11. i always wanted to tell my mom but i feared breaking up the family. i'm always moody and really mean when i'm home and it causes lots of fights between me and my mom. it just hard to have to look at him everyday. i just told my older brother about the rape and he wants me to tell my mom before i go to college. but i'm scared that i'm just gonna be ruining my little brothers lives if i do! i need help

I feel sorry for you. What your stepdad did to you is so horrible. I think you have to speak with your mom because your stepdad can do the same with his children. I hope your family can overcome this situation

This is really serious and think if you cant bring yourself to tell your mum you should go straight to the police. you scared of ruining you brothers lives, but if he's abused you he more than likely has done it to other innocent little girls and boys! If you leave this unspoken about this could ruin your life and many others. you have nothing to be asshamed about and i have never been in your situation, but as a mum myself i would want to know if anything like this hadd happened to my children even if it was by the man i love! be strong hun and speak up and im sure there will be ppl on this site who can give you better advice as might of been in a similar situation xx
