Married against the odds

Hello there,

My name is Lucy Lawrence and I am a freelance journalist.

I have been commissioned by a women's magazine to write a story about couples whose relationships have survived against all the odds.


I am looking to speak to a couple who married, or live together, against the wishes of their families whether for religious or racial reasons. We would, of course, pay any couple for their time.

We are completely aware that as well as legal issues there will be many personal reasons why couples may be hesitant to come forward.

I would love any couple who feel they may wish to tell their story to contact me and can guarantee it would be in absolute confidence and with no expectation of commitment at that stage.
