the first time he tells you a lie it becomes a lying issue. if he loves you he should lie to you he should just tell tell you the truth from the start. so now he is just messing with you

After 8 yrs with my boyfriend... I always had a feeling that he spoke with his ex behind my back .. he always denied it... though they have 2 kids, he said he never talks to her and has no need to talk to her... that he only communicates with his kids.... I always knew down deep that was a lie...but never had reason to say that it was !!! until today.... I decided to check his voicemails on his cell phone (to be used for "work" purposes only) and there was a sweet & friendly little msg from her as if they are total buddies !!! and of course he still denied that they don't talk ever... that she has never called him on the phone. GIRLS we know how we would sound if we truly never talked to our ex ... After all these years... I always had that gut feeling and today it has been confirmed... I can't ever trust him again and I'm done !!!!!! there goes 8 years down the drain..... this was the last of many lies...

Boy freiend problems
MY BOY FRIEND HAS BEEN STAYING AT HIS SISTERS SINCE SATURDAY. AND I HEARD THAT HE HAS STAYED AT A 35 YEAR OLDS HOUSE WHICH HE FINGERED A WHILE BACK WHEN WE WERENT GOING OUT.HE NEVER WENT BACK TO HIS SISTERS UNTIL 4.00PM IN THE MORNING,NO TO ADD ON TO THE STRESS HIS NIECES ARE HAVING A BIRTHDAY PARTY AND HIS EX GIRLFRIENDS ARE COMING I DONT KNOW WHAT TO EXPECT  . PLEASE HELP!!!!!!

The question is...
How do you know he's lying? I've been throguh a similar situaton recently. I started being friends with an ex-girlfriend of his and I don't know why I started asking this woman about what they did in the past, when I was not with him, and her answers didin't coincide with his. I asked him the same questions and he told me completely different things. Who's lying? I trust my husband but she also swore she was speakinh the truth. Who to believe? is he lying to me?

i' ve had an older friend going through similar suroundings as in the question and it sucks to see her put herself through the heart ache hoping he will tell her the truth but doesn't. if he is lying about small things it is nearly definite that there are bigger issues he is lying about to the girlfriend. she diserve someone that doesn't lie to her. unless he confesses all, is he really worth being with and can she real ever trust him when says anything to her. if there is no trust there really is no relationship.

my boyfriend lyes to me all the time over the littlest of things,i dont know when his telling me the truth anymore.when i first thought he was i told myself i was being paranoyed but then i herd from both my mum and his mum that he was...i know he does it but there only little lyes,i dont wanna loss him,am i a stupid for putting up with it?

poor people, there are small white lies between my partner and I. Each of us look at the other nod or blush and sulk off from these notable issues,but we each see where the other is covering their tracks or not telling the truth.
However whenever the truth is called for i demand it and my partner would demand that I talk, it helps clear the air and promote understanding as well as trust (which after my partner lied when we first met has taken a while to build)
He's very good at telling the truth these days. It's easier for both of us to know where we stand
