Is this appropriate??

Can someone please please help - I am so worried - can't think of anything else.

I need opinions on this, because when I was young I was abused by my father, so I think that has clouded my judgment on what is appropriate and what isn't. What I mean is I am thinking that I might be thinking it's inappropriate when it isn't, because I shy away from any physical contact.

OK, this is the thing. Is this ok or not? An adult son (35 yrs old) is sitting on the floor watching tv, with his mum sitting behind him on the settee. His shirt collar is low at the back, and she starts tickling and stroking his neck and back. She did it for about 20 minutes, and also his arm - putting her hand up his sleeve to get higher. She then sat with her hand resting on his shoulder.

Am I going mad? Is this ok? Because to me it isn't - I couldn't believe what I was seeing and felt sick and hot - thought I was going to faint. But am I just reacting like this because of my dad - maybe it is totally normal?? Please someone help.

I think this is perfectly normal and I believe because of what happened to you you don't know what clear boundaries are, if you said the mother was kissing and fondling him then I would be like not normal but that seems like normal motherly affection to me.

i think this is ok babe........ its jst general love and affection my mum cudlles and kisses and tickles my older brother too nto all the time but if he is close we are all a very close family but i think its ok

maybe freaked u out cos u thought thats within family yuk because of similar situation in your past but that was jst family love i think! XXXXXXXX
