Can a baby make a relationship?

my friend has been with his girlfriend for 8 yrs on and off they hav had 1 child at the begining of ther relationship and now his girlfriend has jus had another.... for the 8yrs all my friend and his girlfriend hav dun is argue and had major fights my friend has been cheatin on his girlfriend with one girl throughout the whole relationship and says hes only with his girlfriend becoz of the kids he says he loves the girl he's been cheatin with BUT because his girlfriend is so crazy-baring in mind his girlfriend has smashed up his cars and put him in hosp and also drinks too much... he says hes goin to try to be with her for the kids sake evn tho he doesnt love her do u think the kids can make a relationship wrk or force a relationship 2 wrk???

I honestly don't think that babies make relationships work ,and i believe that children should grow up in loving house olds. Children can sense if there parents resent each other, and because he doesn't want to be with her there will be constant arguing and that isn't a good environment for his children to grow up in.
