hallo, please forgive me if I am off topic maybe, but i'd like to know the exact word in eglish to say:

- how do you call a woman who has a relation with a married man? I mean, this woman is the "????" of this man.

i don't thnk that the word "lover" is the proper word, because also a girlfriend or a wife can be said she is a lover, or not?

I think it all depends on who you're talking to, and how polite you want to be!

I think the best word is 'mistress' - I prefer that to 'other woman'.

Hi Selma, I agree with Zeena above ie Mistress but alternatives depends who you are writing to and how the feel about that "other woman". If you liked her then yes "other woman" but if you didn't then "That other woman".
