What does it mean?.....or why now??

Ok, i have this guy friend. He used to be nice to me, though a little immature. Then this year (school year), he started acting like a jerk. He calls me bad names, and makes fun of me. I dont understand why, i've always been a good friend to him. His friends say it's because he doesnt know how to act around girls, but i have seen him be a perfect gentlemen to other girls. So i guess what i'm asking, is why the sudden dislike for me?

guys have to act up in front of their friends... and if he is treating you like this then he really isn't worth being called a friend...

Love/hate

hi heather....
it looks to me that he likes you. its like a love/hate thing....he likes you but is maybe too embarrassed to show his true feelings, so his way to deal with it is to be nasty to you. It could be so sudden because he has only just realised it. in a way its hard to explain...theres a fine line between love and hate. try not to take it too personally and if you can, ignore his bad names and his nasty jokes...in fact ignore him completely for a while. i bet it wont take long for him to stop and think what hes doing and approach you with an apology or to ask you whats wrong. And when he does, you can tell him you were hurt by what he did.

Good Luck anyway. If ive got it wrong im sorry, the only other option is he is a jerk and doesnt appreciate true friends when he has them. Your better than that and dont need friends like him. Either way, dont let him get you down, your not in the wrong he is. x
