How can i get his attention?

hiya every1 this is tiggy! well theres this guy in my class at school that I really really like. Ive had a huge crush on him for about 4 years now. im not a shy person at home or around my friends but at school I just seem to close off. this last year Ive been trying to be a little more outgoing and confident. Ive been talking to this guy in maths and form time as much as possible wivout making it too abvious I like him, but i think he knows, coz one of his mates found out. we chat and have a laugh and he smiles at me and sumtines we hold eye contact, i guess thats kinda flirting but I duno weva he really likes me?
I was guna try asking him out on th last day but in the end I bottled out. next year I really wana make a good impression and try and get to know him and hopefully i'll get the courage to ask him out again, but how can I improve my flirting to make it more obvious but not embarrassing 4 me? and how do I know if he likes me? what are the signs?

I would really appreciate some advice. haven't had many boyfriends and am not that experienced also how do I stop being shy?

well i would say that it would be better if you could wiat till he asks you out,or you can ask him to go out with you but inderectly for exemple ask him to go to the movies with you and invite a friend of yours (if you think he wont accept if its just the both of you)and once there,in the middle of the movie,tak his hand ...iva had the same probleme as your having,and thats how i got my guy,and im still with him,2 years latter,and one thing that could help you is change your style,completly,like go back to school next year being a totaly diferent girl,that might get his attention and want him to know stuff about you,its like his gonna meet a new girl,but if you think he likes you the way you are then dont change ...
