Good news!
I don't know if you remember my post earlier in the year about my friend being in a violent relationship?
Well two weeks ago her boyfriend sat outside our workplace all day because she wanted to go out that night and he wouldn't let her. We eventually had to have him escorted away from the premises because our patients were scared.
My friend left work early that day, went to her parents house and hasn't been back to the flat she shared with her boyfriend since! She said he humiliated her and himself in front of her workmates and patients and that was the final straw.
She is going on holiday with us next week too. She finally has her own money and freedom and she says she feels good to be in control again. Of course he's begging for her back but she's standing her ground! I'm so proud of her and I don't need to worry so much about her.
Violent relationships are hard to get out of but once you go you have a sense of who you are again.
Just thought I'd share my story!
