Infidelity topic.

OK, I am annoyed at the topic being promoted on this site. Whether it's trying to be avoided or not it is promoting cheating on your partner and it is specifically aimed towards women cheating on men! The whole layout of it seems to be basically justifying cheating by saying that you need to be in control of not only your original partner but your 'bit on the side' so he doesn't have an edge on you and actually listing pros by saying it makes you feel wanted etc.. What is going on? I have never cheated and never could do it even if I wanted to, there is no excuse for it. If you are not happy break it off and stop being greedy. The survey suggests a lot of women cheat! Anyone else (men) annoyed by this topic?

Its never ok!!

i havent read what youre referring to-ive been away and probably missed it - but i am a woman and have never and never ever would cheat on anyone in a relationship-i mean why bother with a relationship if you are going to do that?? just stay single!! of my closest women friends... i can confidently say neither have they....but i guess thats a lot to do with the type of friends i value - they are honest people...but there are many people who dont consider fidelity important...unless of course its someone elses infidelity!!

..

I agree that it is better to break up with someone if you're not happy rather than cheat on them. But I find the tone of your post a little dodgy - "it is promoting cheating on your partner and it is specifically aimed towards women cheating on men!"
This implies that it is somehow worse for a woman to cheat on a man than vice versa. Not saying you meant it but it DOES imply that which is not a clever thing to imply on a predominantly women's message board.

Sorry, i didn't mean that.

I apologise if that sounded sexist in any way, what I meant was that it talks about the benefits for women such as your partner giving you better sex and making them realise what they had. Then discusses it as an act of revenge, I just found it upsetting as I'm sure many people did.

I agree

I think infidelity has become incredibly normalised as something that just happens I think its unacceptable and completely un forgivable, whatever happened to committing to a relationship completely if you cant do that then you could be in one
