My husband bought an erotic artwork which he's put in our living room. Now we get a lot of negative reactions of our friends...they think we're crazy

Yeah, I would - maybe not in the living room (my poor old mammy would faint when she came for tea!) but in the bedroom for sure. If you're both sexual people, it's an expression of that, and it's great that you are both comfortable (you know, i'ts not just something that one wants but the other is unhappy about it). If your friends feel threatened/freaked, that's their problem - prudes!
