Ignore the reactionaries
I think some of the replies have been reactionary. If you are a 23-year-old virgin and are considering sex with a prostitute then you have obviously thought a lot about it and are not "rushing in". I would also assume that you haven't had sex because of lack of opportunity not because you didn't want to. So you probably have a choice between having sex with a prostitute or not having sex at all.
Sex with anyone poses risks to your health. But the risk is minimal if you use condoms and take reasonable precautions. Prostitutes use condoms, so may be less likely to have STDs then other women who have risked unprotected sex.
Having your first sexual experience with the one you love is a great fantasy. And I'm sure it happens to some people. But don't wait for it - you could be waiting a long, long time. You lose nothing when you first have sex - virginity is an outdated concept belonging to the middle ages. If you would like to have sex and a prostitute is the only option then go ahead. Be careful, and don't even try oral sex without protection. Don't expect it to be a fantastic experience. But don't give up if it is not - try again, with another woman.

Have to agree with the other post and people who think not a great move. Latex condoms DO NOT prevent HSV2 (herpes). The virus is so small it can travel through the pores in the condom. There are cases of microbiologist breaking out on their fingers when exposed to HSV. Condoms also don't prevent HPV 100% of the time. Also, condoms often slip off or break. Your thinking about having sex with a woman who does 30 or more guys a night and might have a drug habbit to boot. Would you want to put your life in the hands of a flismy section of latex? To ans the oral sex question the ans is yes. You can get gonorrhea, syphilis, HPV, HSV, trichomoniasis and even HIV from doing oral on an infected woman. You can get gonorrhea and other diseases if she is carrying it in the back of her throat. Sorry to be so graphic and gross but we learned this in microbiology and an STD class. If your hell bent with sex with a working girl you should use a polyurathane condom and use a dental dam or if you dont have that Saran wrap when you go south. Another issue is what will you tell your spouse ( in the future if you want to marry) about your first sexual encounter? Most of us don't want to hear the guy we are sleeping with did a hooker. If your going to do it stay safer.

Do NOT use two condoms! They rub against each other and have a high chance of tearing, making it less safe than using one.
Honestly for your first time I would think it would be a lot better for you to save it for someone you care about. If you choose a prostitute then she's only there because you're paying her and you know she isn't attracted to you. The experience would be so different with someone you liked and had met and who wanted to be with you, but it's up to you.
Two condoms = bad idea
For the record, using two condoms one on top of the other actually INCREASES the risk of them splitting, due to the friction caused by them rubbing together - they are not designed to be used in this manner.

If there is any cut or wound found on her and if there is a direct contact between your blood or saliva with her blood / saliva, the you may get infected.

Obviously I can understand your frustration and desire to have sex, but honestly rushing into it with a PROSTITUTE is not exactly a good choice. I mean,basically they really won't give a ... if you're a virgin or not, they'll half-ass the sex and then leave with your money. Does it sound quite desirable now? The best thing to do is find a girl that you like, isn't a professional whore, and then get into her pants.

Prostitue
Having sex with a prositute (or escort) is YOUR choice, but I definitley would not recommend paying someone for sex as your first time. Some people don't find virginity a special thing but I think it makes it much better to lose it to someone you at least care about so you won't regret it. A condom doesn't protect you completely from anything, including pregnancy OR Stds. Wearing 2 condoms at the same time doesn't really do anything because the protection would be the same and since there are two condoms they could potentially rub together and break because of the friction. Oral sex with a condom or some other sort of guard between the genitals and mouth is the safest form or oral sex you can get, so yes I believe that would be safe.
Having sex in general is never 100% safe, especially with someone whos sexual history you don't know. So be careful. Good luck.
