I love anal, but my other half is'nt that keen, and when we do it its very shallow, Am I wrong in thinking he can push his manhood deeper?

There could be pain if there is no lubrication but otherwise NO. If you are female, he should stimulate your clitoris while going deep inside. You would love this.
