Im getting married and need desperate advice about money!!!!

hi guys my gorgeous fiance proposed to me and we want to get married in nov 2010 but we need to save £6000 for the wedding how on earth did u all save up so much money or where did u get it from i need ideas as i cannot see a way around this and am scared will have to wait forvere to get married

any help or advice really wud help??? i have no ideas on costs etc infact i dont even know where to begin!!! plz plz help!!! thansk xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Congratulations ! I got married in August and had a fab wedding. We had a year to save up it cost £15,000 altogether. Firstly dont panic ! Have you booked it as registry office or church yet? first decide how many people are coming, Then find venues in your area. We had 120 people altogether 60 came to the wedding and our venue was a hotel we paid £75 per person that includes drinks on arrival 4 course meal and coffee. and then in the evening another 60 came in the evening so the evening buffet was for about 100. Then we also book a disco which cost £250. Discos vary in price, it all depends what you want. We also had a videograghper and photographer. With everything you book you only pay a deposit and the rest you normally pay 6 weeks before the wedding. Wedding cakes cost from £200 depending on how many tiers you have. Your invitations you send out a good few months before. There is a lot of planning, but if your both working just put some money aside ever month. You will do it.
