Is fitting of wedding dress a badluck ? any idea pls ?

I was from a country and a family with a very strong belief and cultures that are being followed, like you can't wear your wedding dress(not even dare to try) before the wedding..

I have heard its bad luck to try on your entire ensemble before the wedding but never heard that its bad luck to try on your dress. You owe it to yourself to be happy and not have to worry that you might put it on day of the wedding and it doesn't fit or doesn't look the same as you thought it would. If I were in that situation, I would try it on and just not tell whomever it is that thinks it is bad luck. I can't imagine having to pick a dress and not try it on. I just got my dress this week and there were plenty of dresses I thought I would like and didn't and some I wasn't so sure on and liked. I ended up getting a dress that I never would have thought I'd wear...its almost the opposite of what I thought I'd wear Go for it, its your wedding and you need to be as comfortable with everything as possible on that day. thanks for the wonderful idea..yea that's right..As a matter of fact i just tried it last mon cuz i couldn't resist to fit the dress and i don't wanna have worries on the wedding day itself however i just diddn't tell with my parents as they would be dissapointed ,sister of my grannie is the one who really contest about it but what can i do.they're saying there'll be lots of burdens that may arise before the wedding that might cause to puspone or not being happen...like what u've said i want to be comfortable when i wear it on my day..wish me luck tho''

Crazy stuff!!! on your wedding day you ought to be looking the best u have ever looked, your wedding dress is the most important feature of the day (obviously apart from the marriage bit).
what happens if you dont try it on and it doesnt fit right? doesnt suit you?
would be my idea of hell and would stress me out no end. I'm all for following beliefs but that is one that i would deff break, not saying you should but i deff would!

What would be bad luck about it? how would it bring badluck? every bride tries their dress on its part of what happens with wedding preperations! buying a wedding dress should be fun and exciting. trying on diff styles to see what you look best in.
