Proposal to a man??

Just need some advice really... i have been in a relationship for a while now and i know this one is 'the one' and we have discussed marriage a few times and would love to get married but its never gone any further than a conversation as i had made clear i think it is just a waste of money but now i have changed my mind ..... I am thinking of proposing myself .. i know it isnt traditional to do so but i really want to marry him. So what do you think of a girl proposing and also i have looked at engagment rings for men and they arnt very nice so if i got a normal platinum ring it wouldnt really make a difference would it??

Thankyouuu for any thoughts xx

I did

hey minnieminx19

i know exactly what you mean i never wanted to get married or have kids then one day it just all changed

i proposed to my husband on 29th feb and he accepted i cooked a candle lit dinner and tried to do it over dinner and couldnt say it then he said to me while wacthing tv wots up?? he knew something was up and i still couldnt ask him....
so i just got the ring near enough threw it at him and said so will you or not (not the most romantic i know but it worked) he wears his engagement ring now more than his wedding ring

i loved him obviously but i had children with his name and wanted to have his name aswell

we booked a wedding reception and a beautiful registry office arch bishops of maidstone and we had a lovely day it was not really a budget wedding but i didnt want to waste the money either
the way i looked at it we had our house children cars etc why waste all that money on 1 day when it will be exactly the same the day after
we spent about 2000 inc dresses suits so i think it was great we had alot of help organising etc and we all had an amazing day we have been married 4 years this year and iv never been happier

sorry to go on but i think you know when you know and i didnt want the fairy tale just my husband (just read that back its a bit lovey dovey for me yuk)

so i think you should just go for it

xxx
