Asking boyfriend to marry me

I am thinking of asking my boyfriend to marry me.

I know this is a big deal and it's normally the other way around, but I really feel the time is right.

Has anyone ever done this, etc how did you do it and what was the reaction?

I'm really scared and nervous, but excited and happy that I've made the decision... let's hope he is too!
I'm pretty sure he will be as we've been together for eight years now, but still have butterflies.

have you asked your bf yet if u have wot did he say? if not go for it girl i asked my man to marry me 4 years ago well i locked myself in the bathroom and text him wot a chicken ah was so scared he would say no but he said YES we been engaged for 4 yrs coz i fell pregs not long after now money is a bit tight go for it if you wait for men then it might never happen

You go girl. When i decide I want to get married if my man hasn't asked me yet I would defenitly ask him! That is awsome you know what you want and when you want it ! Congrads! I think that it is great, you gain my respect that takes a lot of courage. My bestfriends mom proposed to her dad. It is awsome I think that with women becoming more feminist and gaining more and more socialeconmic status it will become more and more popular!

I am french and first, I am sorry if my english is not so correct !

I am going to get married on next June, 17th, but I didn't ask my boyfriend to marry me... it was more traditional, at the restaurant, at the end of dinner, he asked me THE question. (he offered me a ring a few monthes later.

But I think that a girl demanding a man (I hope this is the right verb !) is so actual. It is a good idea, except if your boyfriend feels bad. i mean taht maybe, in his head it is his part, it is a men function...!
