Getting married by justice of the peace

We are getting married by a justice of the peace in america and are paying for the service they provide.

My question is do you also give a TIP (money) to the JP or a Gift of thanks?

I am also getting married by way of JOP. Honestly you say thank you but there shouldn't be anything more to it. it is your day to be happy becuase you are being bound to the one you love. You already are paying for the services so that should be enough. It isn't like you are gong to vegas and need to tip elvis or nothing like that.

No the gift is the JP (which will be a judge) marrying to happy people happy with each other.
