it was "brulee"? Sounds like "oeufs au lait" to me, which are actually caramelised. Don't have a recipe though and have never tried. My mum makes really good ones and all I know is that it's slow cooking in a bain-marie.

Whislt staying with some French friends our host made a reverse brulee. Do make this she only used milk no cream, it was delicious and healthy. Has anyone a recipe for this.
