Liquid diet

Hi Kerry,

I had a jaw op earlier in the year and had to eat liquids for 3 months!! How long have you got? I survived on lots of soup and invested in a good blender so I could whizz up more substantial meals (even managed to blend my birthday cake!). Try stuff like blended tuna in tomato sauce, houmous, lentil and aubergine soup and any carbs you can blend easily. Plus sweet yoghurts are good for getting sugar in, and plenty of milk!

Good luck

Hi

I think at the most il be on a liquid diet 1 - 2 weeks, wired shut for approx one week.

Im so not looking forward to the liquid diet and wouldnt mind some tasty receipes.

what could i do with peanut butter ?

what will fill me up and can i blend meats up or is it a bad idea ?

Hi kerry

Good luck - I wasn't wired shut at least, it doesn't sound fun

I managed to blend pigs in blankets for my Christmas dinner which worked well (was back on the liquid diet again for a month after second op in December). Also ate lots of tuna for protein, I guess you could blend bolognaise and salmon quite easily too? Lots of smoothies for energy ( mashed avocado and strawberry is nice tho it might sound weird, and banana, ginger and honey is delish!!) and milk drinks (hot choc, milkshakes). Why not try blending peanut butter with bananas?

I took soluble vitamins too.

All the best hun,
Neila xx
