Hiya Alison, being a constant dieter myself please let me congratulate you on your excellent success so far...dont feel down about hitting the wall, its gonna happen no matter what...ignore your dad, i think they are here just to make stupid comments..
Firstly im sure your keeping a foody diary of cal's...if you drop below the amount of cals needed to function your body either slows down weight loss or as in your case wont let you continue...i was once told to increase my allowance for a bit which confuses your body and you start to lose again...give it a go....if you want to lose weight...eat more...smile when you get a comment it will make you feel great..if you want a buddy then im starting again now and would be delighted to join you...

Posted by alison985125 2 January  at  22:16

When i started trying to loose weight i was 18 stone 7lbs and i changed my choices of food to eat and lost 4 stone i then started fitness classes i was weighing 14st 7lbs ive done fitness classes now for 8 months and i seem to be stuck at 14 stone 2/3lbs my goal weight is 12 stone. I feel alone in my goal, I am always working hard exercising alone my dad makes snide comments all the time when i eat something. But i did manage to get compliment from someone at fitness class today she said i look much better than when i started so at least someones notices. I was just wondering if anyone wants to be diet and fitness buddies with me.

I am new to this website. It sounds like you are doing amazingly well Alison I have 2 1/2 stone to lose. I have put this on over the last 2 years and need to get it off as it's making me feel rotten!

I have just bought a weeks worth of the www.golower.co.uk to see what that is like and will get another few weeks if it helps kick start my weight loss. It is too expesive to keep up all the time however... If it's ok I shall get my boyfriend and a couple of mates to order the special 7 day trial boxes for me from their houses as well

I think my problem is that I eat too much food. I eat pretty healthily with lots of veg, and I hardly ever eat pre-packed meals, junk food, cakes, crisps or sweets- I just eat TOO MUCH!! Hahaha!

I admire your dedication with the exercising. I am now trying to walk to work every day. It is about 2 1/2 miles and takes about 40mins, I just hate getting up early and often end up taking the car

Perhaps we can all offer each other some encouragement to keep plugging away?

Anyway, a very happy new year to both on this thread (and everyone else!1) and good luck

Em
