Hi,

I am a 33 year old who is the fattest she has ever been I'm 5 6 and now weighing in at 12 stone 7 pounds eek!

I have just bought myself a week trial of the Golower programme www.golower.co.uk (it's on special offer at the mo') and am planning to start when it arrives next week.

I would love to communicate with someone else who is taking the plunge to see how they get on and offer some mutual support

Alternatively, if there is anyone on a different programme or who is well advanced on the golower who would like to exchange support, I would really appreciate some tips and advice.

Thanks for reading this and good luck to all making positive steps to change their weight and food attitudes.

Maybe 2008 is the year we take control...??!!

All the best

Em

Hi Nicola,

Glad to see that you are taking the plunge! The golower diet is ok. You get a tiny breakfast (you can add milk or yoghurt), a pouch of soup for lunch and a pouch of something else for dinner (curry, chilli, chicken dishes etc). You can add cheese to your lunch soup and green veg or salad to the dinner. They also give you a nut bar for each day and a choccy bar for every other. I am a big over eater- I love having pasta, potatoes and starchy food so it's quite tough doing it but I'm also a control freak which means I will stick to it!! Lost 4lbs this week hurrah! Only on day 2 of the diet but cut down last week as well and have been exercising. I am doing exercise with 2 different friends, I think that helps. How about you? You been getting any exercise in to help?

Good luck

Em
