Heyy guys,
im 14 and im really unhappy with my weight.
I dont think i am overweight but when i look in the mirror all i can see is flab around my stomach. I do alot of dance, but i recently damaged the ligaments in my knee so i have not been aloud to do it for a while now. I really dont know what to do
Last year i suffered with an eating disorder, so now any attemps i make to loose weight are immediately stopped by my parents.
Does anyone have any advice about what i should do?
Love Betty x

Dear Betty,Please listen to your parents. If you have already had an eating disorder they are only looking out for you. There is so much media pressure for young girls to lose weight and be like a stick insect, trust me it's not attractive and you haven't mentioned how much you actually weigh or how tall you are. Try doing crunches if you want to tone your tummy up and eat 3 sensible meals a day. Please don't go on a diet just try to adopt a healthy eating lifestyle. Good luck and please post me if you feel down.xx
"Tone up"

trust me betty, if you diet now you will gain more weight as an adult. been there done that. it sounds to me like its not a diet you need but to tone up. if you want to tone up your stomach try some crunches as this shouldnt affect your knee. if you suffered from an eating dissorder last year the fact that you look in the mirror and see yourself as fat is possibly early symptoms of a relaps. the best thing for you to do is MAKE SURE you eat 3 healthy meals a day and tone up, this way you can loose any excess fat and turn it in to muscle..ie abs. good luck i hope this helped in someway x
