I have been on a strict diet from my dietitan for almost 28 years ,i still like to be thin again, its up and down like a yoyo, i used to weigh 6-7 and a half stone a year before i got married way back in 1978 then i fell pregnant in 1979 i was still 6-7 and a half stone i eventually after 9 months of pregnancy i reached 18 stone you can imagine i had a difficult birth but my son weighed in at 9 pounds 1 oz he was huge, everyone at the hospital said he looks like a big 6 month baby, he grew rapidly by the time he was 11 years old he was a 6 footer i went on a strict diet and eventually went down to 12 stone i still love to lose me but much quicker this is my tipical day of eating for breakfast 1-2 cups of decaf tea with skimmed milk no sugar 1 brown roll with olive oil spread no jam or marmalade breakfast is at 9am then around 11.30 i will have1--2 more cups of tea followed by another brown roll with a cup of hot thick chicken soup. then when supper comes at 5.30 i will have some fish i put that in the oven with plenty varities of fresh vegetables and about 3 chips for pudding i have unsweeted fruit cocktail and wash it down with unsweeted fruit juice like pineapple or mango. all told its about 1,500 calories i walk every day about 2 miles there and back from town i dont go to the gym i cant afford that, i jig to music a lot. excerises i am limited due to a gallstones and migraine attacks here is my e-mail address reply back please help me i am losing my patience gailgray1956@yahoo.co.uk

Hiya, I can totally understand your frustration. I've been overweight myself for some time and trying to get back to my old size and shape is near on impossible. I've tried a few diets but nothing seems to have made a lot of difference, I'm willing to give anything a go at the minute. i find exercise tough to stick to although I've recently started swimming at weekends with my sister and nephew. I know what you mean about gym membership being expensive, but even if it wasn't i don't know how often I'd go, i hate getting all sweaty and i'm usually sweating within the first 5 minutes! That's why I'm hoping to stick to swimming, although it's taking me a while to feel comfortable in front of other people.
