Super easy homemade lip balm!!!

this was really easy, super tasty and smells kinda nice too!

you need:
vaseline or petroleum jelly ( beeswax might work too not totally sure but i wanted something cheap)*
3 teaspoons
1 1/2 teaspoons honey**
a bit of crushed blush crystals (i've heard lipstick slivers work too)
just a thin drizzle of olive oil (oils like almond oil and coconut oil should work too)

melt the honey and vaseline and if your using it the lipstick slivers in a microwave in short increments like 30 seconds just until most of it is melted stir out any remaining lumps and drizzle in the olive oil if using them stir in the crushed blush crystals (they must be crushed into powder other wise its lumpy)then pour it into small containers like old lip balm countainers if it solidifies too much to pour just take a knife and transfer it to a container and let it cool until the vaseline reaches it's former consistencey

*the vaseline doesn't dry out your lips in this recipe! it could be the honey or the olive oil i don't know it is better than any storebought lip balms i have tried because of the nice taste!
**if you have a sweet tooth don't use so much honey or you might be tempted to lick it all off because it tastes so good... i know im so enjoy!
IF YOU LIKE TRY ADDING A BIT OF SPARKLY LIP GLOSS AT THE END TO MAKE IT SHINY AND MORE LIPGLOSSISH!!!
OH AND IF YOU KNOW ANY OTHER RECIPES PLEASE POST THEM!!!

Containers

i made some more today even though i still have my first batch today i used lipstick! i bought 3 different dollar store lipstick colour and mixed them and for containers i used a pill reminder container! you know the ones for people who take pills daily with seven compartments one for each day of the week? well this one was like a hexagon except it had seven sides and a hole in the middle and i put a different colour in each compartment and it looks really cool!

Impressive !!

Wahou ! I will try this today !
How long can you keep it ?
Thanks,

Shelf life

its super easy, im not sure how long you can keep it, vaseline lasts a long time, honey never expires and blush lasts a long time so it all depends on the olive oil i guess.. you know how most lip balms and lip glosses only last like an hour with "good behaviour" ie no eating well i applied this at 1 pm and it's now 4 pm i ate ice cream and my lips still aren't chapped (they aren't glossy anymore but i dont have that annoying chapped feeling vaseline normally gives you)

P.s.

and o ya you could probably add any flavours that you wouldn't mind with the honey, i wouldn't mind vanilla

Cheers xx

thanks for posting, will def try that one!!

Lipbalm

ordinary nivea is the best thing for yr lips, put lots on b4 bedtime and they will be so soft in the morning, also apply under lipstick, my mum put it on my chapped lips as a child and im addicted lol.
