Ibuprofen for swelling after rhinoplasty

I know they tell you not to take ibuprofen for 2 weeks after rhinoplasty. However does anyone know if it helps swelling at about a month post op, since it is an anti-inflammatory?? I am still really swollen and read of sumone whose swelling went away after taking it. please comment x

Swelling

i was given ibruprofen for pain nothing to do with swelling. Just DO NOT take any aspirin. However I have been in no pain whatsoever.

Arnica?

Have you not tried taking arinca, i am two weeks pre op and i have started to take 2 pilluetes 3 time a day, looking to increase it to 4 time a day after op! I think i am hoping it will work miracles! Its what I have been advised to take by my coordinator! You can buy it in any chemist and it isnt deer at all! x

Anacia

I asked my surgeon and he said dont worry about anacia. I had no brusing at all anyway,only size of a coin and that was under the plaster anyway,went after a day or two after the splint came off.

Arnica

yeah I have taken arnica, I took it before and a few weeks after I think its mostly for bruising rather than swelling. My eyes were almost closed through swelling I think im just a slow bad healer whereas some people barely bruise or swell. I has a slight yellow tint under my eyes a month after. good luck hope all goes wellx
