Do not use brian m*sgr*ve

He is currently being sued by 3 women for appalling facial surgery.
I think his office is advertising his services again

Name

Why has the name dissapeared? i would like to help you as a friend of mine has had a rhinoplasty and had a brilliant result and would not doubt be happy to talk to you about it and would probably send photos and everything as he is really proud of it. If you need info, costs and general help have a look at allaboutsurgery.co.uk and they have an online consult which is brilliant and all the costs of UK Cosmetic Surgery providers, its worth a look. Contact me if you need more info or my friends contact info PM me. Have fun.

Rhinoplasty with brian ... ??

Hi i am really confused.. got consultation with mr ... but scared now after reading bad reviews.. help?? was your friend really happy with results?? was it a good job?x

What did you decide?

I have just had rhinoplasty with Brian and prior to my consultation I googled him on the internet and couldn't find anything bad about him. Also the clinic I used had been trying to get him on their books for ages due to his good reputation for Rhinoplasty. I have to admit the postings I've now found on here are panicking me somewhat. I still have my cast on and from what I can see although the tip is swollen its not 'pig' like and I can see nothing obvious to be concerned about. But until the cast is off I won't see the final result. Have you decided to proceed with your op?

Not a good sign

Not finding anything bad about a surgeon on the internet is not always a good sign - some surgeons police the boards and threaten to sue the forums forcing them to remove all bad posts. I assure you a lot of really bad things have been said about this surgeon - that's why you can't even type his name on here.

Then why is he not struck off???

Surely if this surgeon is as bad as some of these blogs make out he would be struck off? I appreciate that sometimes things can go wrong there are risks with every type of surgery. Looking at the amount of Rhinoplasty operations this surgeon has done surely the majority must go ok. I also understand he does work for the NHS surely they would not use him if he was constantly botching operations?

Struck off

Read the story of David Herbert - he botched many many ops before he was finally struck off.

It's very hard to sue a surgeon for a bad cosmetic result.

It's really important to understand that rhinoplasty should only be done by surgeons who specialise in it.

Go to lookyourbestuk and read all the unhappy stories there.

Will have to see

I have stumbled across a number of unhappy rhinoplasty patients since discovering these type of forums. Can I ask have you been a patient of the person we've been talking about? If so what went wrong?
At present I still have my cast on so I am not in a position to confirm whether my surgery has been a success for me but for those who are interested I will keep this blog updated. So far however everything looks ok although I can only see the tip it is not like "Miss piggy" which a lot have complained about. It was swollen a lot a first but after day 4 I can now see the swelling coming down.
When I went for my consultation I took pictures of other Rhinoplasty patients who had similar issues with their nose to me and what was done to correct it so it was clear what I was trying to achieve. I am sure there are cases where the patient has built up an expectation of the result they want and how they could be disappointed if it didn't match up which is why I think for anyone considering this you should try to provide pictures to demonstrate what you want to achieve.
The surgeon we have been discussing is a Rhinoplasty specialist and I was shown by the clinic I used pictures of his work before I went to see him.
My cast is due to come off on Tuesday so that will be the moment of truth for me. I have to admit the stuff I've read on here has had me worried for the last 4 days and I do wish I hadn't stumbled across it.

He is not a rhinoplasty specialist

I accompanied one of the 3 ladies suing - 2 from the North West and 1 from the South East of England - for a second opinion from one of the country's top specialists on what is a totally unacceptable FL. The Harley Street specialist had revised 2 of BMu's rhinoplasties early this year, and was very forthright about the poor surgical outcome in the FL patient. The lady from the SE featured in Take a Break Magazine, where she recounted all that had been done to her.

I hope you are happy with your rhinoplasty at Tuesday's unveiling, if not don't despair. As others have already said there are at least 3 excellent rhinoplasty revisionists in the UK, with the skills and aesthetic touch to be able to put you back together.
All the v best xx

Results

I had my cast off today and although there is still a lot of swelling I can certainly confirm it has been improved. The bump has been removed although I realise I will not see the final results for a few more weeks I am happy with the results so far. I do not know the ins and outs of the women who have unfortunately had a bad experience with this surgeon. I am sure that every surgeon in their time has had a complaint made against them. I would recommend anyone considering Rhinoplasty takes pictures of other Rhinoplasty patients that demonstrates what you are wanting to achieve and ask your surgeon if they can accomplish this. If you are concerned about any of the comments you have read on here then ask the surgeon what the chances of them happening are.
Hope this helps.
