Elyzea clinic in belgium

Hello everyone,
I am looking into having a liposuction at this clinic at it seems to be the only one that offers affordable cosmetic surgery. I went to two cliics today, here in London, as I am shopping around and one is asking for £3,000 and the other £2,800.
However, has any of you ever been there? What was your experience?
Is it possible to arrive on the day of the treatment and go back home the same day? I don't really want to stay in a hotel.
Please let me know.
Thanks.
Karine

Just home from lipo at elyzea

I have just come home from lipo at Elyzea. There is absolutely no way you should consider going home the same day - my husband drove me home the next day and I felt so rough. There was no way I could have made it home by myself and the same day - MADNESS!

Think really carefully. The clinic quoted me £1700 (or something) and when I got there the exchange rate they used was 1.12 to £ (I had just got 1.04 in UK). The cost of the hotel before and after, the taxis, feeding yourself. My advise is for a saved £1000 stay at home.

Hi

Hi i went to elyzea in may this year for 4 areas of lipo an uplift and implants. I also woke during the op but thats because they use twilight sedation insted of a GA which is much safer but when they move u a small percentage of people do waken but the the drugs they give mean u feel nothing and are far too chilled to care i know i was - i just remeber looking down thinking oh they're doing my tummy, suck it all out!!! lol and the anisthatist(how ever u spell it) constantly reasuring me i felt very safe and taken care of.
Im returing next april for a re op on my breasts as i had mass asymetry and need further work to evan them out. I went back to elyzea in manchester expecting a fight for a re op but all did was show sue how they looked now and she said i needed further work at no charge and then she asked me how my lipo went isaid,"my chin, knees and belly are different but my hips/saddle bags are the same" and she replied if there is no difference when it comes time for the re op in april they will re do the areas also at no extra charge - Now you tell me i ive not of anyone who went to places in England that havent had to fight for re ops never mind having them suggested!!! Im SO impressed with them especially Sue at manchester that i have recomended them to 2 of my friends for boobjobs and they to are now big elyzea fans.
P.S i had Dr Caroni for lipo xxx

Stay in uk

I had Lipo with Elzyea in Brussels about 5 years ago now and I wouldn't recommend them. I had 3 areas done, I woke up during the procedure because they hadn't administered enough aneastetic. 2 hours after the operation I was shipped out with no advice or offer of a taxi back to my hotel. They took the money for my opreation twice off my credit card and it took me 3 weeks to get it back and they didn't refund the money lost to the exchange rate. Also I had no corespondance or communication from surgeon or clinic back in the UK. I didn't find there was a great difference before and after apart from I am now left with a strange ring around my belly button which I never had before.
All in all a very bad experience and have learnt my lesson and will never have surgery abroad ever again.
Sounds like a bit of a rant now I've just read it back but I wouldn't recommend

Couldn't agree more! Shipped out still vomiting, no blood pressure taken (I'm no nurse, but isn't that a basic?). Never saw the surgeon again and don't know how much fat he took.

I absolutely didn't wake up though.

Been there for a consult but will prob go for clinic beaucare

hi there,
I went there for a consult this time last year. The surgeon quoted me 2300 for 4 areas. I didnt go ahead though as I was still recovering form my BA at the time. Although I was impressed by the surgeon.
However I have a consultation with clinic Beaucare on Tuesday who would charge me the same price but for 5 areas. It seems like a much better price.
From the price you mentioned I guesse that you are having a few different areas done and from what Ive read about recovery it is probarly wise to stay in an hotel,(think of all those busy Londeners pushing past you when you get off the Eurostar and also the first Eurosar from London to Brussels doesnt arrive at brussels till 9 am). Bussels is an interesting city and i you can get some pretty good deals on hotels over the weekend when all the buissness poeple and politians are away.
I will see how it goes on tues with my consult at beuacare.
I am still also thinking about Budapest for Lipo (advantage of Budapest is it is in a hospital not clinic but disadvantage is they dont consult in London.
I am thinking of having my lipo done in January, when are you going?

Hi

hi i had surgery at beaucare 3 yrs ago, they are absolutely first class and the surgeons are amazing i had frank plovier, whatever you choose good luck!

Going to singelberg now

defo not going to clinic beacare now. The surgeon I met in London for consultation was quite rude and arrogant and kept trying to upsell me operations I dont want.(a waste of thirty pounds as he wasnt the surgeon who would be performing the op)
I think I will be going to Singelberg clinic instead. Dr oelbrandt gave me a very informative consultion.

Lipo at elyzea

Thanks for your reply.
I had my consultation with Elyzea yesterday and they quoted me £2,350 for 4 areas so I think it's not bad. It looks like I will have to stay in a hotel as it seems wiser that way, especially after the op, just in case there are some complications afterwards.
I will try and contact beaucare and see what they can do.
I am thinking of having mine done in August/September 2010 because I'm saving the money for it.
Regards
Karine
