Vaser lipo with dr grant hamlet - has anyone used him?

I have had three children by caesarian section and I'm desperate to get rid of the roll of fat that sits on the scar - everywhere else I'm quite slim. I can't face a tummy tuck so I've booked in for vaser lipo at the edf medi centre in kensington with dr grant hamlet for next month. They have told me that i have to have some skin tightening treatment first - which is costing over £1000 and then the vaser lipo which will cost over £4,000 - I'm nervous that it won't work - has anyone else tried vaser lipo after caesarians? is it better to just have the normal lipo? and any views on dr hamlet - they tell me he's the best but can't seem to find much about him.

any thoughts really appreciated - have never done anything like this before!

I had lipo after two ceasarian sections and like you I am slim in other areas and just had this pot belly which no matter what I did I could not get rid of and was very aware of it. I also had some fat taken from my face as well as I had chubby cheeks all my life!

I had 800ml of fat taken in February and the result after a couple of months is fantastic. I had swelling brusing afterwards and was concerned when my jeans were tighter initially that there was not going to be a difference, it took about three months and the doctor had told me that for full results it takes six months. I did not have a lot of pain afterwards and just had to take a couple of panadol - day three was slightly more uncomfortable! It feels like a bad period pain! and my face looked like a chipmonk which I was upset about.

The first night there was a lot of leakage and my advice would be not to share a bed with a partner if you have one as there are some things that should remain a mystery and this is one of the them, the sheets and towels on the bed were covered with gunge so use old sheets and towels. I continued leaking for about 4 days and used sanitary towels as recommended by the clinic on the open areas- they are the softest and do not cause so much skin irritation but needed packs of them!

The day after I was fine and up and about I was back at the clinic at 9 to get the bandage and garment changed but had a rest at about three in the afternoon watching movie with some cheesecake! They also gently massage your stomach downwards to encourage the leakage. The brusing come up after about five days and took a couple of weeks to disappear. It was just on a V from about the top of the scar around the end of my stomach area. I had two incisions one in my belly button and one just above the c scar both of which were small and have not left a scar.

The clinic gave me arnica and also recommended to sqeeze and drink five lemons for the first couple of days to take down the swelling, I had swelling from day two - day one they took the after photos!

I was also given some coke and chocolate the following day at my check up for my sugars levels - all in all I am very happy with the results but was very nervous going in for the procedure - I had twilight and only felt pain a few times when they hit a muscle and my appendix scar! But there are moments when it hurts so be prepared!

I also found that two garments were not enough as you have to wear them for a month and as one is constantly drying - I also bought two black ones so bought a couple flesh coloured ones as well.

I didn't have any treatment beforehand so I can't comment on this. I hope this is of help.
