Hi Chantal,
I had vaser on my inner thighs and knees last week, but I'm sure the same rules will apply. In answer to your questions...
1. Follow the guide from your dr who is doing the procedure, but I found it best in comfy clothes after, lots of pads as the leakage is quite a lot after, and you will probs get through a lot in the week if you're told to pad for a week. You will need surgical tape too. I found it more comfy to have two garments, one on and one in the wash. I also took arnica and bromelain for five days after as it's meant to help swelling and bruising.
2. I took painkillers regularly from a few hours after. I got 500mg paracetemol (advised to take paracetemol or codeine) and took two every 4-5hrs (max 8 a day) even if I felt no pain. The pain was at its worse that same evening, and then generally in the mornings. But I've had no pain in the night and it's really been fine, more of a bruised, pinching feeling and I really put it down to taking the pills regardless, rather than waiting for the pain to get bad.
3. Activity - been told no exercise other than walking for four weeks, but normal activity after a day or two but really take it easy first week. I had my procedure on the friday and was in work on the monday (but monday was physically exhausting, and I have a desk job). Intimacy isn't an issue for me as I'm single and NOT dating while I go through this! I would say intimacy activity is fine as long as you're not swinging from the chandeliers and such like...
4. Finally, compression garment have been told to wear padded with sanitary towels 24hrs a day for a week, non padded 24hrs a day for a further three weeks, then 12hrs a day for 2-4 weeks or longer if you prefer.
Hope this helps and good luck for tomorrow!! Where are you having it done?
