Prolacinoma

I'm just wondering if anyone on here has the same as me- it's quite rare so I don't know anyone else with a prolactinoma and would just like to talk about it.

Hi,

I was diagnosed with a micro prolactinoma in March. This was after nearly 3 yeras without periods & my (male) GP telling me that everything would sort itself out naturally. He also said I should be glad not to have periods or be able to get pregnant!!!

I have now been taking Cabergoline for nearly 2 months, my FSH ,LH & Oestrogen have all returned to normal but I haven't had a period yet. I'm desperate to get pregnant and am worried that there is a more serious reason for the lack of periods. Whats your experience?

Macro prolacitnoma

I was diagnosed with a Macro Prolactinoma 8 months ago, my periods stopped when I was 16, I am now 60 and it has only just been diagnosed, I am being treated with cabergoline, the tumor has not shrunk at all so I have just up-ed my dosage to .5mg twice a week, what dose are you on at the moment? Do you get headaches or any other symptoms?
