First time on pill - stopped period?

I am on the contraceptive Co-Cyprindol, which is also used to treat acne. I was told to start taking it on the first day of my period, which was yesterday, but it was a week late (I am always between 3days and 12days late, so I wasn't very concerned)

I bled normally on my first day, but had hardly any stomach cramps compared to what I normally have, and today I have hardly bled at all, just a few brown splodges.

My doctor didn't say anything about the pill stopping this period, just that I had to take it on the first day for 3weeks, and then come off it for a week to bleed.

Does anyone know anything more? Is this normal? Could I be pregnant?

It seems strange that it would affect your period so quickly. If you've had intercourse, I'd take a pregnancy test to check. Maybe you could have a phone conversation with your doctor to see whether it's normal for this to have happened. I'd definitely get it checked out. Kat x
