What is physical chemistry?

A woman dates a guy who seems and says he is very attracted to her. Then he dumps her, saying that "he feels no physical chemistry" between them.
What does that mean? That he in fact was not attracted to her (looks-wise)?

Not 100% sure but I have been in the situation before where I really fancied someone and really want to kiss them etc and then when we finally met up and the the kiss happened iy was so disappointing, I didn't get the excitement or flutters I had expected. I don't think its anything to do with looks it just that they didn't get the feeling, which is so disappointing because they obviously liked you.
