Wife has moved out. what of the future?

My wife of 29 years moved out last week, to seek space and internet dating allbeit in the 4 months she has been on line she has been out once. I am sure that someone on here will have some advice as to where we go from here. She says she also wants some space but cannot commit to our future, if this is not bad enough our son is off to uni tomorrow some 3.5 hours away.

Friends of the two of us and many of my friends state that at 55 she will be back soon as it is an age thing and being on her own will soon prove to be very lonely even if she does get dates.

I wonder what views you ladies have as I adore her and am finding this all very difficult to deal with, each day being worst than the one before. She will come with us tomorrow and then we are off to a familly party, It is only me feeling that I have to go the extra distance to help us all through this but I would rather not be going anywhere.

Part of me needs to recognise that it is all over maybe and as many say in regard of relationships this maybe all over.Does anyone have any views on what it is going to be like in the next few months and how to go forward or wait until she may return?

Hey

i really feel for ya... it must be hard having to live without her after so many years... how was your relationship before she left??? sorry to say this it sounds like she has left you for someone else "internet dating" why the was she doing that for!!! the reson why she left you dosent sound wright! but just keep your head up and be strong>.

Thanks to you

Our relationship is sort of finr at times and she sights the'spark' has gone as a root cause. We have been together for 35 years and married for 29 of them. Our son just went off to uni last week and wants to do 4 years there so this may alos contribute to her feelings. She turned up unexpectedly at 'home' yesterday afternoon at 2;30 when I was and she knew not going to work until 4;00 p.m. Nicely made up and looked sexy (sorry you may find that hard to see when couples are in their 50's - no offence taken if you do) and we had a cuddle which she then said I do not expect that behaviour! I said I cannot go to your flat when I want so why should you walk in our house as you like and when. The outcome was amicable, the couple of weeks she has been gone I want her even more.

The sad thing about this for you younger gals is that it shows that trouble lurks in the background for the whole of your life and the only safe zone is when you expire. best for now
