Red lips

Hi,
Can anyone tell me how to get the red plastic lips look that you see in the
glossy brochures,
I've tried several lipsticks and glosses and never seem to get it right!!

Can it really be done or is it an illusion!!!!

Preparing your lips
The key to great looking lipstick that lasts is preparation. For perfect application, you lips need to be soft and smooth. Drink plenty of water and keep your lips hydrated with lip balm, particularly if you live in a dry or windy climate. Exfoliate flaky lips with a gentle washcloth every day in the shower to remove dead skin cells and help create a silky surface. If your lipstick fades easily, add a thin coat of lip primer to your lips before applying lipstick or gloss.

Red lips

Well firstly, i would prime my lips with foundation. Then line your lips with a neutral/ redish lip liner. You would then fill in your lips with a red lipstick, i recently brought Stargazer red its fab, stays put all day.

I then blot my lips and fill with Clinique Long Last Glosswear SPF15 in Mystic. perfect i only touch up my gloss. Miss out the gloss if you dont want a shine... hope that helps
