Beauty therapy/make up courses? please help!

Anyone know of any good beauty therapy or make up courses? Can't be like a full time thing as I'm at university and most of the time am occupied with my course, although I'd like to learn about makeup and possibly get a job at a makeup counter at some point and I heard you need some sort of qualification for that?

Do things like Btec/NVQ matter and is one better than the other? I can get to Leeds/York areas but would prefer something that's located in Leeds - so I can shop on the side

if you are still intrested,carlton beauty institute in windsor do all courses,i did mine for about seven beauty courses in 4 days,got my diplomas and i can do my nvq ect.within two years,meanwhile i can work with these diplomas.it does cost depending on what you want to do.they are opening another branch in manchester in october this year.i think its fantastic.give it a go!let me know how you go or anyone else who is interested

If you follow this e-mail link it is a from home learning course for beauty therapy for levels 1,2&3. Or there is just levels on there own! You do have to pay for the courses as they are useful. Then you can do your course in the spare time you have while at uni.

hi im training to be a make up artiste and trust e its grt go for it. wht u want is nvq level 2...u do make up theatrical photograpic manicures facials eye treatments but its wicked if u have good graded u can skip level 2 and go to 3 check it out i go to a college in luton barnfield. if there any barnfields near u

you dont need a qualification in make up to work on a conter but retail experience would help
