"How do you apply eyeliner??"
Posted by divegal 27 December  at  17:03

prob a very basic question but I have never wore it and dont know how to apply it!!! I am very fair skinned with blonde hair and I bought some dark brown liquid liner but when i put it on it just looked so overboard it looked stupid!! Does it go just on the top lid? and does it go completely from inner to outer edge?? if anyone can draw picture and scan it it that would be great!! should I go for something not quite so heavy as I am so pale ( and not as young as most of you!!)

liquid eyeliner can be extremly tricky to apply to your own eyes, and on mature skin can look a bit messy. i am a make up artist, and on mature skin i use eyeshadow applied to the lower lash. too much colour on mature eyes can make them look smaller, so in fact what you should be trying to do is open up the eyes and make them appear bigger and brighter. try applying a soft brown to the outer part ot your lower lash line, using your ordinary eyshadow brush, and use a white eyeliner pencil on the inner part. this should help open up the eyes. if you are trying to create a special occasion or evening look then apply a thin line of a slightly darker shade of brown to your upper lash line this will give a slightly more dramatic effect.

hope this was of some help.
let me know how you get on.
